The Kingsley Obiukwu Foundation, in a powerful partnership with Pat Angelina Ayaegbu Hospital and Amichi (CHISCO), is taking a significant step towards empowering women’s health in Anambra State. They are sponsoring the registration of women into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme, offering a vital lifeline for accessing quality healthcare.
This commendable initiative is further supported by the Hope Medical Trust Foundation, founded by Dr. Felix Cameron Anyanwu, a Nigerian-Australian physician, highlighting a collaborative effort to uplift the well-being of women in the region.
Registration Already Rolling!
The Foundation isn’t wasting any time. They’ve already been on the ground in Osumenyi and Amichi, getting women signed up for the scheme. This shows their commitment to making sure help reaches the communities that need it.
What’s the Big Deal?
This isn’t just about signing up for a card. It means women across 15 towns in Nnewi South, Nnewi North, and Ekwusigo LGAs will have a better chance of getting the medical care they need without the worry of huge bills. The Kingsley Obiukwu Foundation is covering the cost for 50 women in each of these towns and that’s a significant impact!
